How do rainbows work?
Dan Ronson says;
Ahhh! A very popular question! A rainbow works when the sun is shining but it is raining in another part of the sky. The sunlight heats up the raindrops. This makes them sort of vibrate and they shoot out the sunlight back into the sky but all broken up into different colours. This gets reflected off the clouds which is the bit you can see - the rainbow! If it snows instead of rains and the sun comes out you'll get a similar effect called a 'snowbow'. However, snowbows don't have the lovely colours of a rainbow, instead they reflect various shades of grey. Ask Me Another!

Why do things look smaller the further away they are?
Dan Ronson says;
The reason things look smaller the further away they are is all to do with gravity, or 'nature's glue' as I like to call it! When things are further away, the gravity is more on them than it is on you. This makes them get 'sucked' closer to the world, thus not appearing as big as when they are near you. Because the gravity works on all of their body in the same way, they don't actually notice anything different. Ask Me Another!

Is it true that Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's dad?
Dan Ronson says;
Yes, I'm afraid it is true Mike! Dark Vader is Luke Skywalker's dad. However, Dark Vader fathered him before he turned into Dark Vader...when he was just plain old Mr Skywalker snr! After he turned into Dark Vader (so called because of his dark costume and because he invades things) he stopped calling himself Mr Skywalker and turned evil. Ask Me Another!

What is soap made out of?
Dan Ronson says;
Ahh! That old chestnut! Soap is made out of a special sort of oil, or grease, if you will. However, as anyone who has ever smothered lard all over every inch of their body will tell you, grease sticks to your skin, making you very, very slippy! However, as we all know soap is slippy but it washes off with water, whereas grease does not. So what happens then to the grease to make it into soap I hear you ask? Well, soap manufacturers just add a bit of special see-through washing up liquid to the grease to make it wash off in water. Simple! Ask Me Another!
