Ashby Castle.
Above you can see the remarkable site of Ashby Castle, once the proud home of King Ivanoe. The castle is steeped in history. Unfortunaly know one can remember any of this. Admission to the castle is free (to children under 2 months old). Inside you can read all about the now defunct local mining industry which, incidently, has got absolutely nothing to do with the castle itself. Also on display are a fine collection of medievil thongs, codpieces and chastity belts.
