To the left is The Continental Music Bar. Famous throughout the whole of Ashby as the place to be seen! 'The Conty', as it is known as locally has many famous names that it can boast about - Queen, Wings, Rod Stewart, David Bowie, and, more recently, Steps and S-Club 7 Juniors. It can boast about these because they have all declined offers to come and play here, However, Paul Shane of Hi-de-Hi! fame once did a 3 hour set of club classics in 1987.
