Things to do...for kiddies.

Every year, generous and kind hearted Old Farmer Olbas opens his gates to The Bales for two days in August, for the enjoyment of all the children. Children are free to run and frolic to their heart's content (admission £5.00, no concessions. No climbing on the bales allowed. Children must be aged over 15. Opening times; 24th August 10.00am - 11.00am, 25th August 10.00am - 10.15am).

After the tragic accident involving over ninety infants last year, Farmer Olbas has now purchased a fire extinguisher.

Also for the kiddies is The Big Space (pictured above). This is a very dusty and extremely busy lorry park where children can entertain themselves by playing with the old lorry tyres and batteries that are lying around. Care must be taken near the 40000 gallon open oil pit however. One of the more constructive things about The Big Space is that it can be a highly rewarding and character building experience dodging the 40 ton lorrys that constantly move around the yard.
